Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 16, 2026
This policy explains what information SingleVerdict (singleverdict.com, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit this site, and how it’s used.
Information we collect
Server & log data. Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information for every visit, things like IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, performance, and troubleshooting, and is not linked to your identity.
Comments. If comments are open on a page and you leave one, we collect what you submit in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user-agent string, to help with spam detection. If you provide an email address, an anonymized hash of it may be checked against the Gravatar service to display a profile image; see Automattic’s privacy policy for details on Gravatar.
Direct correspondence. If you email us, we retain that correspondence (and any information you choose to include in it) in order to respond and to keep a record of the exchange.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to a cookie that remembers your name, email, and website so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. This lasts about a year. Logging into the site sets a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies, and, if you log in, session cookies to keep you signed in.
Our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) may also set its own cookies for security and performance purposes (for example, to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated abuse) as part of delivering the site to you.
We do not currently run our own analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this site.
Affiliate links & third-party services
Many outbound links on SingleVerdict are affiliate links to the VPN providers we review. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how that works. When you click one of these links and land on a provider’s site, that provider (and its affiliate network) operates under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies or tracking to attribute the referral. We don’t control, and aren’t responsible for, how third-party sites handle your data once you leave singleverdict.com.
How we use information
We use the data described above to operate and secure the site, respond to correspondence, moderate comments, and understand at a high level how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Comment data is retained so we can recognize follow-up comments automatically, rather than holding them for moderation. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes. Email correspondence is kept as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter it relates to.
Your rights
Depending on where you’re located, you may have rights over the personal data we hold about you, for example to request a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you left a comment, you can request an export or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (this does not include data we’re obligated to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes). To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
